Trip Introduction

Lying north to the capital city of Kathmandu, the geography and culture of the trek region remain completely unspoiled. During this trek, you get to experience some of the most beautiful sceneries in Nepal including the thick forests, rapid waterfalls, and scenic views of the snowcapped mountains in Langtang, Manaslu, Everest ranges and also tamang heritage. The ancient monastery at Kyanjin and the excursion around the village further add enigma and thrill to the already adventurous trek.

The first day of trekking starts with an ascent from the main street of Sybrubensi. The trail takes you through the hanging bridges, dense forests and lush mid hill villages of the Langtang region. As the journey progresses, you will slowly discover a gripping Tibetan history and its massive influence in this region. People of this region follow Buddhism and are mostly involved in agriculture and animal husbandry. Beyond the nomadic lifestyle, this region has some ancient gompas and Mani walls which you can see on the trek route. After reaching Tatopani, you can relax at the hot springs and get some good rest. A memorable portion of the trip lies in Kyanjin where you stay for an additional day. Kyanjin is famous for its yak cheese factory and the beautiful Kyanjin Gompa, which is the biggest gompa in the region. While exploring the areas around Kyanjin, you can also go visit Tserko RI (4984m) and Langshisha Kharka. The trek package not only allows great views of the mighty mountains like Ganesh Himal (7,422m), Langtang Lirung (7,227 m), and Gosinkunda ranges but also allows to experience the heartwarming hospitality of the Tamang people. The best season for this trek is between March to May and September to December.
