Trip Introduction

Khopra Danda trek offers the perfect option for trekking in one of the most illustrious trekking regions in Nepal– Annapurna region, with an off-the-beaten-trail experience. This trail is a newly opened one and is an alternative to the more crowded and commercial Ghorepani Poonhill trek. This trek presents travelers with all that Nepal has to offer including breath-taking mountains peaks, green hills, rice fields, and cultural villages along the route. Relishing the cultural ambiance along the trek, you will be continually accompanied by the Annapurna Mountains throughout the journey.

The trek also covers various fascinating locations in addition to the Khopra ridge, such as the mesmerizing lake city of Pokhara, beautiful Ulleri village, the breathtaking sacred Khayer Lake and Bhrama temple. The trek is possible during most of the year as the trail does not climb to a very high altitude and the most parts of the trail get a lot of sunshine throughout the year. It is the perfect trek incorporating superb mountain scenery, wilderness, landscape and classic trekking adventure in the Himalayas without the crowd of tourists. Khopra Danda Trek offers an amazing view of majestic mountain peaks throughout the journey. Khopra Ridge is one the best viewpoints and glorious views of Mt. Dhaulagiri(8167m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Mt. Fishtail (6997m), Mt. Lamjung Himal (6983m), and Annapurna range can be observed.Walking on the less touristic and peaceful trail along beautiful meadows and forests, with a backdrop of stunning peaks will surely make you feel closer to nature. This short and adventurous trek is also ideal for experiencing different cultures in several ancient villages inhabited by ethnic groups like Gurung, Magar, Brahmin, Chhetri, and others. Since the area is less touristic, more authentic and unchanged cultural practices and lifestyle of the people can be explored.

Khopra Danda Trek is the perfect choice for a thrilling adventure in the Annapurna region, without having to exhaust our bodies a lot, all while enjoying the spectacular landscapes, majestic mountain peaks and immersing in the unique culture, customs and hospitality of the locals.
