10. What kind of weather (how cold does it get) can we expect during trekking?

The seasons of autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) are considered to be the ideal seasons for the travel-related acts in Nepal. These seasons allow the travelers to enjoy the favorable climatic conditions in the country that add to the trekking experience. The weather is stable during these periods but you need to be prepared for any situation. Trekking to high altitude regions such as Everest, Annapurna, Langtang and other regions give you cold feet. The capital, Kathmandu boasts a temperate climate throughout the year. The lower belt of Nepal, Terai, is warm all around the year whereas during travels to higher altitudes, the temperature decreases at the rate of 0.5 degree Celsius per 100 meters of ascent. The Himalayan trails are obviously colder and can even see the temperature drop below the freezing temperature during the nights.
